False positive. Built prometheus v0.311.4-0.20260507094802-91c184a899b8 (pinned by opentelemetry-collector-contrib prometheusreceiver v0.152.0) already contains the fix: backport merge 04055ee19081 (prometheus/prometheus#18584) is an ancestor of built commit 91c184a899b8, and storage/remote/codec.go enforces the snappy decoded-length limit (decodedLen > decodeReadLimit). Scanner false-matches on the Go pseudo-version despite the patch being present.
