jackson-core 2.18.2 is shaded (bundled and relocated) inside signalfx-java-1.0.49.jar via the Maven Shade Plugin. Gradle resolutionStrategy cannot override classes baked into a pre-built JAR. signalfx-java 1.0.49 is the latest release -- no version with jackson-core >= 2.18.6 is available yet.
