Impact

github.com/prometheus/prometheus is vendored into pilot-discovery for type definitions, parsers, and client-library helpers, but the binary does not run the Prometheus HTTP server. GHSA-8rm2-7qqf-34qm requires reaching Prometheus's remote-read endpoint (/api/v1/read), which is part of the standalone Prometheus server and is not registered on any HTTP mux exposed by pilot-discovery. The vulnerable code path is unreachable from this binary.
