Impact

CVE-2026-53222 affects the OpenCompute PTP driver (drivers/ptp/ptp_ocp.c), which is only built when CONFIG_PTP_1588_CLOCK_OCP is enabled. That option is not enabled in any Chainguard kernel configuration, so the vulnerable code is not included in the shipped kernel.
