Impact

Remediating this requires OpenTelemetry Go v1.44.0 or later, which advances the SDK to semantic-convention schema 1.41.0. The bundled Google Cloud resource detector is still built against schema 1.40.0, and OpenTelemetry refuses to merge resources with differing schema URLs, so the collector fails to start. No compatible detector release is available yet, so the fix cannot be applied without an upstream update.
