Impact

Upstream Node.js bundles its own copy of Brotli, which is why this CVE is listed against Node.js versions. nodejs-26 is built with --shared-brotli: it does not include that copy and uses the system Brotli library (libbrotlidec1) at runtime instead. The vulnerable code is in libbrotlidec1, which is fixed in 1.2.0-r7. Images with libbrotlidec1 1.2.0-r7 or later are not affected.
