Impact

log4j-core ships inside pre-built WSO2 Carbon kernel binaries consumed as-is by the product-is distribution — both the standalone lib/log4j-core-2.17.1.jar and the copy shaded into pax-logging-log4j2_2.1.0.wso2v5.jar. Maven pombump overrides (both dep and property patches) have been verified not to affect either location. Fix (log4j-core 2.25.4) requires an upstream WSO2 IS release with a rebuilt Carbon kernel.
