Impact

The github.com/moby/buildkit dependency at v0.25.1 is fixed in v0.28.1, but upgrading introduces breaking API changes in transitive dependencies. Build fails with: vendor/github.com/fsouza/go-dockerclient/tar.go: undefined: archive.Uncompressed. Resolution requires upstream podman to adopt buildkit v0.28.1+ or a compatible intermediate version.

Impact

buildkit v0.28.1 transitively pulls in runtime-spec v1.3.0 and go-archive v0.2.0, both of which have breaking API changes incompatible with podman v5.8.1. Podman main has fixes but no release yet. Waiting for a new podman release.
