Impact

jackson-databind 2.17.2 is bundled inside the pre-built CXF3 runtime that WSO2 ships under lib/runtimes/cxf3. The runtime is provisioned as a pre-built artifact and its jackson version is pinned by that upstream runtime, independent of the product-is dependencyManagement, so no build-time bump reaches it. Remediation requires WSO2 to update the bundled CXF3 runtime to a patched jackson-databind (2.x stream: 2.18.8 or later, 2.18.9 for CVE-2026-54515).
